Tips to be more healthy | Consejos para ser mas saludable | Kellyrainyscat

Hi there! January is pretty much over, and the goal to stay more fit is about to fail, so as the title say I'm going to tell you what I do to be more healthy, and a little disclaimer, this is something that works for me and makes me feel (and look) better, so I'm not telling you to do it, I'm just sharing with you these things, because I'm not a professional or a Doctor, so don't take it the wrong way, also I thought on writing this post in english and spanish, enjoy! Being healthy is a lifestyle, you have to really want it and love it, and you will commit to it.

  • Hydrated. drink a lot of water at all times, I sometimes don't drink as much as I would like, but I'm working on that, because is seriously the best for you!
  • Eat good food. things with protein in it, fruits, vegetables, meats(if you dont eat meat, then no meat) nuts and cereals. Be aware of what you're putting in your body, I know that sometimes is hard to eat clean-healthy food, I don't do it myself every single day, but avoiding junk food and fast food as much as you can, is good.
  • Never go 3 days without exercising. go to the gym, exercise at home, whatever works for you, but try to do it as often as you can. I personally love doing yoga and go on walks.
  • Don't consume what you can't burn. this tip is pretty self-explanatory, if you don't exercise, I recommend not to eat it, unless you have an awesome metabolism, but still.
  • Don't skip meals. eat at your hours, make yourself an awesome breakfast, eat your lunch, eat your snacks and Don't go to bed with an empty stomach, this is very important.
  • Slow progress is better than no progress. try your best, keep moving and take care of yourself.

AHORA EN ESPAÑOL!!!

Hola! Enero esta a punto de terminarse y la meta de "ser mas saludable" esta por fallar, asi como dice en el titulo les voy a decir lo que yo hago para ser mas saludable, esto es algo que funciona para mi y me hace sentir(y verme) mejor, no les estoy diciendo que lo hagan, solo les estoy compartiendo esto, porque no soy una nutriologa o una profesional para decirles que les funcione mejor, asi que no lo tomen de otra manera. Ser saludable es un estilo de vida, tienes que realmente quererlo y tiene que gustarte, y asi comprometerte a serlo. Pensé en escribir este post en ingles y español.

  • Hidratate. bebe mucha agua en todo momento, aveces yo no tomo tanta como me gustaría pero, estoy trabajando en eso, beber agua es lo mejor!
  • Come comida sana. cosas con proteína, frutas, verduras, carnes (si no comes carne, entonces carne no) frutos secos y cereales. Se consciente de lo que estás poniendo en tu cuerpo, Sé que a veces es difícil comer comida saludable, yo no lo hago todos los días, pero evitando la comida chatarra y comida rápida tanto como puedas, es bueno.
  • No pases mas de 3 dias sin hacer ejercicio. ve al gimnasio, has ejercicio en casa, lo que funcione para ti, pero trata de hacerlo tan a menudo como puedas. Personalmente me encanta hacer yoga y caminar.
  • No consumas lo que no puedes quemar. este consejo se explica por sí solo, si no haces ejercicio, no recomiendo que lo comas, a menos que tengas un metabolismo increíble, pero aun asi.
  • No te saltes comidas. come a tus horas, prepárate un increíble desayuno, come tu almuerzo, come tus colaciones y no vayas a la cama con el estómago vacío, esto es muy importante.
  • Lento pero seguro. hazlo posible, no dejes de moverte y cuídate.

Welcome 2015!



Happy happy new year! 2014 was a good year with lots of ups and downs, if I have to describe it in one word it'll be "learned" because I have learned a lot. my favorite moments of 2014 was when I went to see one of my favorite bands "A day to remember", I got to hang out a lot with my family and we make really good memories, I had days where everything seem impossible or terrifying but I got through them and at the end everything was ok and if not, eventually it was going to be. I hope you had a good 2014 and your 2015 be a better year, full of incredible things and experiences that make you grow and learn.

Recordatorios para vivir mejor por Kellyrainyscat

  1. Se paciente, no importa cuanto tengas que esperar, mantén una actitud positiva porque por lo que eres paciente puede pasar en cualquier momento.
  2. Lento pero seguro, no importa cuanto te tardes en hacer algo, síguelo haciendo, poco a poco, no te presiones.
  3. Todo esta bien, si no es así, lo estará con el tiempo. Las cosas mejoran enserio! 
  4. Ve una buena película, lee un buen libro, escucha tu música favorita. Cuando sea en donde sea.
  5. Escribe tus días favoritos, son un tesoro y así no los olvidaras y recordaras porque la vida vale la pena.
  6. No le des importancia a lo que ya paso y no fue positivo en tu vida, pues te quita tiempo y enojarse es una perdida de tiempo.
  7. Ama y valora a quien te ama. El amor es lo mas importante en la vida.
  8. No solo oigas, escucha. 
  9. No solo mires, observa.
  10. Valora lo que tienes porque una ves perdido no se sabe cuando lo volverás a tener.
  11. Aprende, investiga, estudia y no pares hasta que sepas que no te convertiste en un arrogante y te mantienes humilde.
  12. Has y esfuérzate en lo que te gusta, así tienes asegurada una vida mas feliz.
  13. No pierdas tu encanto, como lo consigues y como lo mantienes queda en ti (ser educado hace la diferencia)
  14. No olvides que no estas solo, hay alguien que siempre nos esta cuidando.
  15. Alcanza la felicidad no preguntes como conseguirla o que es, cuando sea tuya lo sabrás.
  16. Primero tu y después los demás, porque después serán, los demás primero y después tu.
  17. No te preocupes. En lo importante si, en una trivialidad no (tu sabrás la diferencia)
  18. Los detalles y las pequeñas cosas son importantes y hacen siempre la diferencia.
  19. Colecciona algo, no por tener cosas sino porque se vuelve parte de nuestra historia y siempre es bueno tener algo que contar que sea interesante.
  20. Observa las señales, se cuidadoso, pues siempre tenemos todo enfrente.
  21. Es tu vida, tus elecciones y decisiones, cometer errores esta bien se vuelven lecciones aprendidas pero cometer el mismo error dos veces es una tontería.
  22. Decir la verdad siempre es mejor, la vida te enseñara que mentir solo te trae mas problemas.
  23. Hay veces que tendrás que tomar decisiones que afecten a tu alrededor, pero si son para tu beneficio, entonces tu alrededor esta equivocado.
  24. Aveces se esta de acuerdo  y aveces no, just go with it.
  25. Si no te conocen personalmente, no te lo tomes personal (leí eso una ves y es ahora uno de mis mottos)
Recuerden siempre sonreír y ser positivos no importa lo difícil que pueda ser, una sonrisa y una actitud positiva siempre hace que todo se vuelva mas fácil.

The little things





The things that are simple, the details, the way somebody sleeps, when somebody you love make you breakfast or make a CD with their favorite songs for you to listen to, an act of pure and beautiful kindness, when you wake up, when your cat is laying next to you, flowers, the things that bring joy and happiness to our life, those things that make our day better and can change our life, what you don't see with your eyes and feel it in your soul... the most important things in life.
Sometimes is hard to appreciate this things, so we must change that. I truly believe that there are so much beauty in this world, but we take it for granted, and okay maybe we get used to the beauty our eyes see everyday but some people haven't seen that "type" of beauty, I known people that had never seen or been at the beach, and that makes me feel weird, and also we take for granted our senses and there's people that will never have one of them. What I'm saying is we should be more greatful and not take anything for granted and give lots of love and be really kind.

I want to say more about this but I don't know how to put it in words, and something I have learned is appreciate everything you have before is too late.

Great traveling tips part 2

If you been reading my blog you know I post a first part of this post a couple of weeks ago, this part is about having a great flight, with this been say, enjoy...


  • airplane essentials: if it's a long flight you need to be comfy so a little pillow will make a difference, also something to entertain yourself like your cellphone or Ipod or whatever and last but not least something to make you smell good like mints and a body lotion, and like a little spa treatment during the flying like a  face mask.

  • pack with the bed made: you will thank me for this, pack with all your things in just one place, so you don't forget anything.

  • make your flight more pleasant: wear your must comfy clothes and shoes, you don't need to be the best dressed you need to feel comfy.

  • be prepared: recheck your flight and your hotel and all that jazz cause unexpected things can happen.


  • be observer: concentrate on your flight, where you put your luggage, where you leave your things, everything.


  • stay relax and happy is first: the whole point of being on vacation is to enjoy ourselves more and when we're mad that kinda ruin everything, so stay chill that everything is going to be alright.

Great traveling tips

Like the title say, I'm gonna give you some advice to have a great trip, starting with a good way to pack your bags, cause sometimes it gets really hard and annoying to start packing our luggage because sometimes we pack so many stuff that we end up using nothing at all, also doesn't matter if the trip is short or long, it will be the same process...


  • Packing our bag(s)
Clothes: they depends of how many days your trip will last, and also where are you going like the beach or somewhere with cold weather.
  1. If your trip is short like a weekend 2 changes will be fine
  2. If it's long, a change per day, so you'll kinda have extra clothes but you will use them all
  3. you will know "the right clothes" to pack knowing the location
  4. never forget your pajamas 
  5. ~optional~ extra hoodies or excercise clothing


            Shoes:  one or three pairs, it really depends on how long the trip will be.
            1. If your trip is short just the ones you will be wearing or one extra pair
            2. If you're going to the beach maybe 2 pairs and your flipflops
            3. If it's to somewhere cold, two pairs of boots or your most warm tennis shoes


                  Underwear: each per day but you might also want to pack extra underwear cause well we don't know but is just better.

                    quick tip. pack a plastic bag for your dirty undies, so your clean undies don't mix with the already used ones.




                    • The beauty products bag
                    daily onesthe reality is we bring everything and we end up using any.
                    1. body: moisturizing cream ~sunscreen ~shower gel or a soap whatever you use ~deodorant ~perfume
                    2. hair: shampoo ~conditioner~whatever treatment you're using ~hair brush
                    3. face: moisturizing cream day/night ~cleanser ~make up remover ~whatever you use to fresh up your face
                    4. toothbrush ~dental floss ~whatever you use to clean your mouth
                    5. ~optional~ your electronic tools for styling your hair


                    • Make up bag
                    1. fundation or BB cream
                    2. concealer
                    3. powder
                    4. mascara
                    5. lip products
                    6. blush
                    7. eye shadows
                    8. ~optional~ if you're really going to use it and depends on the person: brunzer ~eyeliner ~nail polish(remover)
                    9. tools: daily basis brushes ~eyelash curler



                    • Hand luggage
                    1. your plane ticket ~passport ~visa
                    2. laptop(and it charger)
                    3. cellphone~headphones
                    4. wallet
                    5. all your gadgets and their chargers(like camara, ipod, etc)
                    6. little traveling bag with the essentials: mints ~gum ~hand sanitizer ~and whatever else take with you in your traveling bag.

                    So those are my essentials, of course I travel with way more stuff than that, but my packing will not be complete with those things. Everybody is diferent and we have diferent ways to pack our bags but we must agree with some of those things, right?! ...
